The speciality of the movie Drishyam is that it was made in several South languages. And every time the box office collection was more than the first. The southern film features southern superstars Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan.

Now the talented actor Ajay Devgan has left his mark in the 2015 movie Drishyam. Being an action hero, this actor has literally played the role he got in this film. Interestingly, Ajay Devgan has not been given a single action scene and yet his performance shines.

In this film, the sensational director of Marathi cinema, Nishikant Kamat, has done a different project this time and presented a unique film to the audience. They have kept the main story and cast with minor changes. Beautiful locations, amazing cinematography, amazing film direction and excellent performances of the actors make the film even more blossoming.

While watching this movie, the audience gets excited and feels like the police and all of us feel affection for Vijay’s family. Ajay spins the film single-handedly and Sriya Saran and Anju’s roles make look desirable.

Tabu’s powerful performance is soulful. Kamlesh Sawant played the role of Sub Inspector Gaitonde whose powerful performance left the audience in awe. 

Little Mrinal Jadhav has done the work given to her. But above all these leading roles, Sharad Bhutadia in the role of Martin eat up more emotions. Also, Prathamesh Parab of the Marathi film Timepass fame has also shown his comic sense.

The songs in the film give a sense of the situation and are added in the right places.

Drishyam 2015 Movie Story:

The story of the film revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar (aka Ajay Devgan), a 4th standard dropout. He lives in Pondolim Goa with his family.

Vijay, who works as a cable operator, is obsessed with movies. Vijay has two daughters. A boy named Sameer Deshmukh takes a video clip of Anju in the shower room where one of their daughters goes to an inter-school nature camp and asks Anju for a favour.

During the negotiations, Sameer gets hit on the head and dies in the process. Which stuns Anju and her family. When the police investigation begins, the police are shown torturing Vijay’s entire family.

Vijay’s entire family is shown giving similar answers during interrogation. That Vijay had trained his entire family in advance. All these inquiries keep the audience engrossed. 

Remake movies rarely get much credit, but this one is a real treat. The entire movie is 163:33 minutes and you don’t know when this time passes. The director has got a good handle on the Hindi remake and has made it frame to frame. He has not used anything new in this movie.

This is why the film has been compared to the Malayalam and Tamil (Papanasam) versions. 

In context, this film shows how far a common man can go to save his own family.
