Koogle Kuttappa Movie Story:

Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 which was a Malayalam sci-fi drama released in 2019 got a very broad, high-pitched treatment in this Tamil movie remake. It was considered as largely trustful story beats of the original script.

The story of this movie moves around Subramani (KS Ravikumar), who is an ill-tempered widower, who wants his son Adithya (Tharshan), who is a robotic engineering graduate by his side all the time.

After some time Adithya gets an offer letter to work for a german robotic company but as said earlier his father was really ill and tempered due to which none of the caretakers lasted long. As Adithya knows the nature of his father and the entire home conditions hence he decided to bring a robot to look after his father and did the same bring a prototype robot.

In this movie, it was shown that Subramani initially became angry towards the robot but after some time he starts loving his prototype robot. Some villagers also gave the new name to the robot Kuttappa.

As Adithya was a robotic engineer working with the german robotic firm he gets triggered that there are some risks involved while handling the robot. Then he decided to go back to his village and inform his father about the cons of the robot, but can he convince his father about the same before it was too late?

Koogle Kuttappa Movie Review

The movie was initially named as Google Kuttappan and later changed to Koogle Kuttappa. As the movie has a base of Android Kunjappan novels still for multiple parts there is a slice-of-life film (a Malayalam cinema speciality). The directors Sabari and Saravanan build this movie on each and every plot and converts the human emotions into strokes, ending with the loud rural drama movie.

Nowadays, different types of movies are getting released means which was based on new stories every time. In the initial days of the film industry, the makes were focused on romance or action movies but thanks to the OTT platforms.

After the lockdown, the OTT boom was thought to provoke filmmakers to work on different types of stories and scripts.

The actor Marimuthu and Suresh Chandra Menon play loathsome characters, again; the former as an arrogant government officer in the village and the after some time as a greedy and uncaring businessman in Germany.

And such kind of plot twists the movie into different things that make the less entertaining. But it does not slow down the pace of the film. Both Aditya and Subramani, the protagonists of the film, are breathtaking in their performances. Loshaliya who is Aditya’s girlfriend really suits the character. She has acted well.

The story of the film is memorable. So, as the movie is over, the performance of the actor is remembered. K.S. Ravikumar, who captures a depressing but endearing quality of acting for the film, has been under-reported. In playing a young man caught up in his father’s dreams and cares, we don’t feel as much about his determination towards alienation.

The other supporting characters also tried well but they did not reach the mark. It seems that the writing for characterisation was a little bit weak and which results in overacting or immature acting for the particular characters.

In the Tamil remake, they had changed multiple things but kept the story as it is. They changed the characters, scenes and some peace of the movie. Filled with emotions and feelings. It makes us feel like crying in the climax. Beautiful screenplay.

Overall, it’s a good new concept film between technology and humans. The film is fun and enjoyable. Everyone should watch the film with children.
